Getting Started

 

  • Drink plenty of water and electrolytes throughout the day and the day before.
  • Allow 3 to 4 hours between your meals and before your practice. 

  • Wear light and comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat (if you have one), a large bath towel, and at least 1 liter of water.  We rent and sell all of these items if you forget!  Bring a change of clothes and an extra shower towel for afterwards.

  • Double-check your class time and arrive at least 15 minutes before-hand to register and get comfortable.

Yoga Etiquette

 

  • Be on time for class. Plan accordingly and be prepared.  We do lock the doors before we start, for security and to avoid disruption in our yoga practice.
  • Please refrain from talking in the yoga studio before, during and after class.  The rest of the studio is a great place to talk, share experience, ask questions, and make friends.

  • Do your best to stay in the room.  Corks and rubber bands are not provided, but bathrooms are!  And if you have to leave, open the door wide so everyone can feel the fresh cold air. ;)

  • Practice stillness. Unless the teacher is telling you to lift it, bring it, squeeze it, push it, or in general move it, relax and don’t move.  Avoid distractions.

  • Be courteous to others by following the above and keeping track of your own practice. Avoid comparisons, its not healthy for you or others.
